As Ghanaians prepare for the busy Christmas travel season, multiple Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have announced further reductions in fuel pump prices , offering relief to motorists and commercial drivers alike. Recent adjustments came into effect in the second pricing window for December , with a number of major marketers trimming their petrol and diesel rates at service stations nationwide. Analysts attribute the easing prices to lower international petroleum product costs and relative stability in the local currency , which have helped reduce the landing cost of fuel for bulk distributors. Among the companies leading the price cuts, Star Oil has been particularly aggressive, with some outlets offering petrol at around GH¢10.97 per litre and diesel at GH¢11.79 , while other stations still sell at slightly higher but reduced rates compared with earlier in the month.
