Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have rejoined a familiar Hollywood public relations firm after another shakeup in their communications team — marking the latest attempt to stabilize their public image following a series of staff departures.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reunited with Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis (SSML), a major PR agency known for representing Hollywood talent, including some of the world’s biggest stars.
The move comes after their 11th publicist in five years, Meredith Maines, stepped down late last year, prompting questions about the couple’s communications strategy.
SSML previously worked with Meghan during her time on the television drama Suits and has had an intermittent relationship with the couple since 2017.
The firm will be working alongside the Sussexes’ internal communications team, including Liam Maguire, who serves as their director of communications for the U.K. and Europe.
One of the firm’s co-presidents, Keleigh Thomas Morgan, attended the couple’s royal wedding in 2018, highlighting the long-standing personal and professional ties between the Sussexes and SSML.
Observers see the decision as an effort to provide continuity and a more structured communications framework after years of turnover and reputational challenges.
High-profile PR firms like SSML are experienced in managing celebrity brands and crisis communications — a potentially valuable asset for the Sussexes as they balance their lifestyle ventures, charitable work, and public scrutiny.
This development follows other recent resignations within their circle, including not just communications personnel but also senior staff at their Archewell foundation, reflecting broader changes in how the couple manages their public engagements and internal operations.
